CLARK, NJ – The Johnson
Crusaders boys’ tennis team equaled their best start since 2002 by improving to 5-0 overall with a 4-1 victory over
the Plainfield Cardinals at the Johnson Tennis Courts on Wednesday afternoon. It marked the first meeting between the two
schools since the 2002 season and Plainfield’s first
visit to Johnson in the modern era.
Johnson’s magic number to qualify for their eighth consecutive NJSIAA
State Tournament has been reduced to one. Johnson needs one more victory before the May 1st deadline.
Next time out, the Crusaders will welcome Jonathan Dayton to the JTC for a
4:00 p.m. match on Friday the 13th.
