CLARK, NJ
- The Johnson Crusaders boys’ tennis team (11-5, 5-2) picked up win number 11 on the season with a 4-1 victory on Thursday
afternoon at the JTC over the Union Farmers. The 11 wins match the Crusaders highest in a single season since going 11-10
in the 2004 season.
The victory included a 6-3, 6-2 win at
first singles by sophomore Chris Tylutki. The win was his 11th on the season and fifth in a row. It also sealed a winning
season for the first time in his two years at the position.
Also, freshman Eric Ginocchio earned his
first career singles victory with a three set victory over freshman Steve Roszkowski of Union
6-0, 2-6, 6-4.
Johnson will take on the Governor Livingston
Highlanders in MVC-MD action on Friday, May 18th at Columbia Park
in Berkeley Heights.
Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
