CLARK, NJ – The Johnson Crusaders
opened up their 2008 home slate at the Johnson Tennis Courts, and improved to 2-0 on the season, with a 5-0 sweep of the Newark
Technology Panthers on Thursday afternoon.
The win marked the Crusaders’ fourth
straight home opening victory, fourth straight 2-0 start to a season, sixth straight regular season non-conference win, and
extended Johnson’s win streak over Technology to four games. Technology is one of three teams Johnson has played at
least four times, and has never lost to (N. Plainfield – 9, Roselle Park
– 8).
Johnson put forth a dominant effort, in
which they didn’t drop a game in the entire match. The Blue and White next take the to the courts on Friday afternoon,
as they make their first regular season trip since 2002 to the Donald Van Blake Tennis Courts in Plainfield, NJ for a non-conference
clash with the Plainfield Cardinals. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
