CRANFORD, NJ – The Johnson Crusaders
claimed their first MVC win of the young season and claimed an early piece of first place in the Mountain Division with a
4-1 victory over the Cranford Cougars on Monday afternoon. Johnson improves to 3-0 for the fourth straight season.
After sweeping the Cougars in both meetings
a year ago, Johnson won their third straight meeting in the series between the two schools. The teams will meet again on May
1 at the Johnson Tennis Courts in Clark.
The Blue and White next take to the courts
on Thursday afternoon, back at home, for a 4:00 p.m. match-up with another conference rival, the Oratory Rams. Johnson has
won six of the last eight meetings between the two schools since the start of the 1999 season.
